Day 1 & 2 Maun – Nxai Pan National Park

Upon arrival in Maun you will be met by your Guide from Swampland Safari Trails. We transfer directly to Nxai Pan National Park, by vehicle. Nxai Pan National Park consists mainly of a series of fossil pans, all of which are covered in short, nutritious grasses. On the pans are “islands” of Acacia trees that form shady spots in which the animals often rest during the day. This makes for beautiful scenery and is unique to Nxai Pan. The park comprises an area of 2 578 km. In this area both Springbok and Impala can be seen, whereas they are usually separated by different habitat preferences. Unusual game species that can be seen here are the Hartebeest, Oryx, Brown Hyena and Cheetah. Overnight in tented camp in Nxai Pan National Park. (All meals and beverages included)

Day 3 Nxai Pan National Park – Makgadigadi National Park

After the breakfast our journey continues to Magadikgadi. Here we will conduct our game drives along the Boteti River- the only water source during the dry time of the year. This brings about the largest migration in Botswana with huge herds of zebras that would normally be in the Magadikgadi Pans during the rainy season- a unique nature experiences! Overnight camping in Magadikgadi National Park. (All meals and beverages included).

Day 4, 5 & 6 Makgadigadi National Park – Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Today we continue our journey into the very heart of the Kalahari where we will spend the following days on game drives and game viewing in Deception Valley and Motopi Pan. The Central Kalahari is one of the prime games viewing areas in Botswana. The flat grasslands team with Oryx and springbok, a sight to be compared with none other in the world. Lion, cheetah and jackal are plentiful. The Central Kalahari is also the largest game reserve in Botswana. After sunset, the unceasing call of the black korhaan is replaced by the sudden awakening of the nocturnal animals. Overnight in tented camp in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. (All meals and beverages included).

Day 7 Central Kalahari Game Reserve – Dinaka

Just on top of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve lays Dinaka, where we spent the night on their private campsite. Here we get the chance to explore the area on Game drives during day and at night or on foot by following the Bushman trackers, who are as much as part of the African bush as the sand you walk on. Further on we can enjoy our sundowner on a raised hide overlooking a waterhole. Overnight in tented camp at Dinaka Campsite. (All meals and beverages included).

Day 8 & 9 Dinaka – Okavango Delta

Today we transfer by vehicle to the Okavango Delta. Upon arrival at the polling station we transfer our luggage and camping equipment onto the mokoros. From here our poling guides poles us along the papyrus-lined waterways to an island in the Okavango from where we will conduct walking safaris and mokoros rides. Overnight in tented camp in the Delta. (All meals and beverages included).

Day 10 Fly out

After an early breakfast we take the mokoros back to Maun where you can prepare yourself for the flight back home.
